I am so excited that I can finally share some of my favorites from this beauty's session. We had to wait for her new hubbs to see them first! Definitely worth the wait!!
What made you choose to do a session with me?
I was added onto the site months before I actually did a session. I have always been interested in photography, and the page seemed like a body positive and women strong site that accentuated every woman’s details. The photos on the site drew my attention, because most of the photos of women you see are sticks and unrealistic. (Aka photoshopped to death). I really wanted to do a session for my fiance (now husband) as a wedding gift. I wanted something he would like (me too), and wanted to see if my details could be accentuated like the hundreds of Candace’s photos.
What were you nervous about going into your session?
I don’t really like to be seen naked (or even in lingerie) in front of strangers. Who does though? I was nervous that I wouldn’t be beautiful enough to take beautiful photographs.
Did your fears ease after the shoot began?
I felt like a million bucks and started getting in the grove. Of course, Candace really tries to make it not awkward and makes you feel like the most beautiful thing. When your photographer makes such positive statements, it makes you wanna push yourself to do more risqué and unique shots.
What was your favorite part of the experience?
Getting my images. Like HOLY CRAP, do I really look like that? How?! But it truly makes you take a different look at yourself, surrounded by the social pressures of so called “perfection”. The session taught me that perfection isn’t real, and that I have certain qualities that make me beautiful as a whole.
How do you feel now that you've completed the session?
Awesome! I have sexy photos I can share with my loved one for the duration of my life. Me and the hubby have even talked about me doing another session (possibly pregnant...when the time comes).
Would you recommend this experience?
Hell yes. What’s the excuse? You’ll look and FEEL fantastic. As they say, nut up or shut up!!! Stay beautiful ladies.
