It has been an embarrassingly long time since I have shared anything on the blog! I am so sorry about that! The wonderful Mrs. S is breaking the blog hiatus with sharing her experience with us!

What made you choose to do a session with me?
“My husband has a big birthday coming up (40!) and he's one of those men who is impossible to shop for - he buys whatever he needs/wants and doesn't have a lot of hobbies. I wanted to do something special for him and thought he would love some spicy photos. I Googled "boudoir photos in Hattiesburg, MS" and found Candace, and I loved the vibe I got from her website and social media.”
What were you nervous about going into your session?
“I booked my session spur-of-the moment/last minute, so I didn't even have a full 24 hours to prepare. On the one hand, this was great because I didn't really have a chance to get nervous. On the other hand, I didn't have time to shop, so I showed up essentially empty handed and without much of a vision for how I wanted the session to go. I was a bit worried that they might not have lingerie options that looked good on me or that my "look" wouldn't come together. I also had some crazy tan lines from summer vacation that I thought might look weird.”
Did your fears ease after the shoot began?
“Absolutely! There were so many options available, and Candace let me try several things on and helped me coordinate colors and the vibe I wanted. I gave the girls free rein with my hair and makeup and they made me look incredible (I swear they gave me cheekbones and lips that were on the level of plastic surgery). And Candace helped me hide/blur my tan lines so none of the finished photos looked crazy.”
What was your favorite part of the experience?
“It was just fun! Getting my hair and makeup done was a blast, it was so cool to see myself looking so much better than my usual everyday look. Candace was great at directing my posing. I did some modeling a million years ago in my late teens/early twenties, and it was so much fun to kind of revisit that (in a completely different body). She gave me a bunch of compliments and made me feel totally comfortable in my skin, and we just kind of laughed through the whole session. I felt really sexy but not in an awkward, forced way.”
How do you feel now that you've completed the session?
“Seeing my finished photos was a huge confidence booster. This middle-aged, post-four-kids body's still got it! I did the session as a gift for my husband but I feel a bit selfish because I think I got more out of it than he did (even though he LOVED the photos, definitely the best gift I've given him in 16 years of marriage). It has been really hard for me not to share any of the pics on social media (I'm in a career where that wouldn't be appropriate). I didn't expect to want other people to see them but I'm really proud of them, I look hot!”
Would you recommend this experience?
“DEFINITELY! Do this for yourself. Don't wait until you lose weight or your hair grows out or you get Botox or your tan lines fade - just do it now. The body you're in deserves to be celebrated, and I'm confident Candace and her team will make you look and feel amazing. I find myself randomly scrolling through my album proof during the day, just to remind myself that yeah, I AM that awesome, lol.”
Anything you would like to add?
“Plan to spend more than you expected if you can. I budgeted what I thought would be a reasonable amount (trying to hide the expense from my husband so I wouldn't ruin the surprise), but then I ended up loving so many more photos than I expected. I would have purchased the whole collection if I could.”
