"I became a college student at 18. A mother at 19. A working professional at 20. I play a million roles and I am constantly needed by someone at all times. At some point during all of this, I lost sight of one of the simplest yet most beautiful thing that I am... a woman. I’ve watched Candace’s boudoir photography group on Facebook for months and I’ve always wanted to do a session, but I’ve always had an excuse. “I’ve gained too much weight”, “this is for people who are getting married”, “I don’t need to spend the money”. Wellll when she posted a modeling call, I took a chance and applied for it. And shortly after, I received an email saying she chose me and would love to photograph me! I was thrilled!
I didn’t get nervous until the morning of my shoot.. I woke up and felt chunky and thought about making up a bogus excuse not to go. But thankfully I went! Candace is so precious and made me feel 100% at ease. Spending the time with her was so much fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat!! We had a blast and I left feeling better about myself than I had in a long time! Plus, my photos came back more beautiful than I could’ve ever expected.
