First of all, WELCOME!

First, let me say that I am SOO excited that you have taken a very big step towards booking a boudoir shoot with me- inquiring! Literally 90% of the women I speak with about boudoir light up, and immediately say that they want to do it! But- I don't always have the chance to work with them right away because they never actually take that very important first step. Well lovely, YOU are in for a treat!! I like to think of it as an extended spa day – but better! A boudoir session is better because you get to take home images that remind you everyday of how amazing you truly are! Overall I want to create images that you would be proud to blow up & hang on your bedroom wall.

My name is Candace, I am the owner of Candace Gurley Photography. I have been specializing in boudoir portraits for 8 years, this genre is the only one I shoot 365 days a year. Boudoir is so special to me because I love helping women feel better. I love helping women learn to embrace and love their bodies exactly how they are. Not only will the session show you how beautiful and sensual you can be, but my goal is to change the way you feel about yourself. I want you to love that woman that you see in the mirror every day. We all struggle with self-image, and I want to help women overcome as much of that as I can. Almost every woman that comes to me is self-conscious about their body, but I make it my mission to show them that they're wrong. I believe all women deserve to feel this special and I hope you really consider treating yourself. WHAT EXACTLY IS BOUDOIR?

To most people, boudoir means sexy, seductive photos of women in lingerie, or little to no clothing. The truth is, boudoir is a celebration of sensual beauty, which is hugely different for each woman on a personal level. I will talk with you about what makes YOU feel beautiful, and I'll customize your experience to bring that out in your photos. To some women, that WILL mean lingerie, but to others, it will mean knee high socks, bikini panties, and a tank top, and that's TOTALLY ok! So the answer is, boudoir is YOU, in your most beautiful state of mind and body. IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY JOINED OUR PRIVATE VIP GROUP ON FACEBOOK, I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DO!

  • DON'T BE! Every image that you've seen of mine has been posed and directed by me! I tell you exactly where to put your hands, when to look at the camera, when to breathe and show you how to arch. If you can follow simple directions, you CAN do this. I show you along the way so you don't feel "silly" in the poses and I promise to be your biggest hype girl, xoxo

  • Yes, you absolutely should! None of the women on my site are models, they are all real women who wanted pictures just like you. They all come in with their own set of flaws and insecurities. They have had hair and make-up done, great lighting and posing. I will show you the beautiful sides of yourself and capture it in gorgeous pictures for you to cherish long after our session. I am happy not all my clients look the same. I love how we are all beautiful in our own way!

  • That's the fun and exciting and SCARY part for some...but don't worry! I have a HUGE client closet filled with over 250 pieces from sizes XS-4X. I'll pull some pieces for you to try on the day based off your questionnaire. You'll also get a complete Lingerie Guide that'll help you shop locally and online if you'd like to bring your own pieces with you! We shoot anywhere from 3-4 lingerie pieces and then the white sheets at the end if you'd like! *more info below

    Picture this: Your favorite leather jacket with a bra underneath or a cozy sweater showing off lacy undies. Your session should reflect YOU — including what makes you feel amazing and confident.

  • Absolutely NOT! I'd never want you to do something you don't want to do. This is why I'll send over a questionnaire once you book in to get to know you and what you're comfortable with during your session. If at any time you'd like to change your mind and do white sheets (where you are naked and the sheet is covering you) or fully nude, tasteful shots, that is 100% your decision.

  • Absolutely! I only share photos with a signed release from each client, so you can trust that your booty is safe with me:) You have several choices of how your images are shared, if at all.

I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING SEXY TO WEAR. Do you provide outfits?

GIRL, I've got you covered (or actually uncovered lol).

A Boudoir Shoot does not require you to go and buy a whole new closet full of lingerie. For starters I have a fully stocked Lingerie Closet for you to pick from with sizes small-3x. However, Boudoir is not about reinventing yourself or having to wear anything you don't feel comfortable in. While it can be a good excuse to buy some new bras or panties, my favorite way to photograph women is in their favorite everyday outfit.

IMAGINE: Your favorite leather jacket with just a bra underneath. A cozy sweater pulled up to reveal lacy undies. Your photos should reflect exactly who you are, and part of who you are is what you like to wear and feel comfortable in.

Is professional hair & make-up provided?

Not for these but, you can addon hair and makeup to your session for $125! (Discounted to $99)

I have a very few select wonderful make-up artists that I schedule for all my shoots. I have noticed that make-up helps to give my clients the confidence they need to shine in their images. When a woman shines, this is where the real beauty shows through. If you feel more comfortable skipping this, that is fine too!

    I will email you within 72 to discuss dates for your 2025 session.

    • Select Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays

  3. Prep + Shoot:
    Hair & Makeup: 1 hour
    Shooting time: 1–1.5 hours
    (We'll review your outfits together right before your shoot!)

  4. Viewing + Ordering Session:
    5–14 days after your session, we'll meet for your private reveal and product ordering appointment.

Once I receive your booking fee I'll be in contact with you within 24 hours with your confirmation email that'll include your; Boudoir Contract, Questionnaire and Prep Guide...this will help me get a better understand of what you're wanting for your session and help you prepare! What to Expect When You Book with Candace Gurley Photography

The nervous excitement is real—What should you wear? What will the studio be like? Will it even be fun?

We are here to guide you every step of the way. Whether it’s your first photo shoot or your fiftieth, our goal is to make you feel completely at ease. Because at the end of the day, this experience is about one thing: you feeling incredible about yourself.

Here’s how your Boudoir Experience Session will unfold:

Step 1: Get Pampered Like a Star

When you arrive, we’ll take a few minutes to chat and get you comfortable. (If you decide to addon hair and makeup to your session- if not skip to step 2) You’ll settle into the makeup chair and enjoy a full glam session while talking through the look you’re envisioning. This is a fully interactive experience—ask questions, give input, and truly enjoy being the star of the day! Hair and makeup takes about an hour, giving you time to relax and settle into the excitement of your session.

Step 2: Curate Your Perfect Wardrobe

Once you're feeling (and looking) fabulous, it’s time to dive into wardrobe selection! We recommend bringing 3-6 outfit options (we shoot 3 outfit looks). Don’t worry—if you need extra options, I’ll pull from our expansive Client Closet stocked with over 200 pieces in sizes S-4X. From bodysuits and bustiers to robes and two-piece sets, we have a wide variety of styles to match your vibe.

Step 3: It's Your Time to Shine

We’ll start with the outfit you feel most confident in and work through the others at your own pace. Feeling nervous about posing? Don’t stress! I’ll coach you through every pose and expression, right down to your fingertips—and show you photos along the way so you can see how amazing you’re doing!

Step 4: Explore Product Options

Right after your session, I’ll show you a range of beautiful product samples so you can start imagining how you’ll display your stunning portraits. We’ll also schedule your online or in studio reveal and ordering appointment for about 5–14 days later, giving you time to get even more excited!

Step 5: The Big Reveal

About 5–14 days after your session, we’ll meet (online or in person) for your big reveal! You’ll watch a slideshow of your stunning images, then we’ll choose your favorites and design your your custom heirloom album or wall art. If you're thinking about decorating a special space, send me photos of the room ahead of time to make planning even easier—bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, you name it!

Step 6: Delivery Day

Once your order is finalized and your payment is complete, your gorgeous products will arrive within 3–5 weeks—just in time for your special occasion or personal celebration!

I offer a carefully curated selection of heirloom-quality albums, wall art, and digitals so you can preserve your stunning images for a lifetime. You’ll get to handpick your favorites and select the products that best tell your story.

Most of our clients invest between $1500–$3000 on their custom boudoir portraits.
